Speech interaction with Saybot, a CALL software to help Chinese learners of English

Saybot is a software application which uses speech processing technology to help users practice spoken English. It is a commercial application available since October 2005 in CVhine with much content designed for learners of many different profiles. In this paper, we present the strategy used and discuss its performance based on data collected from users of the software application in a real practice situation.
