In this paper we present our state-of-the art automatic speech recognition system for Dutch that we made available on the web. The free, online disclosure of our software aims at allowing non-specialists to adopt ASR technology effortlessly. Access is possible via a standard web browser or as a web service in automated tools. We discuss the way the web application was built and focus on usability criteria - especially interoperability. To overcome user differences we provide input conversion and basic parameter selection. Extensions of the current system and a path to robust, general purpose ASR are suggested.
