Teaching rhetorics in Hungary in the 13th-19th centuries

This study provides an overview of the nearly six hundred years of rhetorical education in Hungary, highlighting the periods and authors that had the most remarkable influence on its development. Following the principle of synchronicity, it utilizes the rhetorical knowledge of antiquity, and clarifies the chronological arc of continuity with a diachronic analysis. More deeply, it discusses the curriculum, textbooks and teaching methods of Hungarian rhetoric education.
